I’m realizing that I’m not here for weight loss as much as fitness. I started out to find a community to learn about weight loss with, but my focus has shifted to eating right and training and what the number on the scale says, bedamned.
Yes, I like to see a loss. I don’t want to see the scale go…
Totally agree. I’m feeling pretty similar. If you ate a macwhoper, please, come to fitblr and tell me how much did you enjoy eating junk food for just one day (it’s not a crime), not how much are you regreting after that burger is in your belly. And remember: weight loss is a marathon, not a 100m sprint. There will be hills, tough parts… and it will be long.
One of best pictures I’ve watched this year. Facts extracted from the movie:
No matter what you do with your life, protect yourself everytime. Don’t do anything it’s going to harm yourself, even if you think it’s gonna be good for you in any aspect.
You only need to get one thing to be succesfull: Fighting spirit. That spark I saw on @BenDoesLife, in some of you… that spark I’m beggining to see just growing inside me, that’s fighting spirit. Sometimes is a voice not yours telling you: Let’s run 10 minutes more, I’m sure you can!”, or an invisible force pushing your hand away from that craving, or even a slap on your face to get you up from the fucking couch. That’s the most important thing you need if you want to achieve your goals.
A fit woman boxing is the sexiest thing in the universe. Just above a recently awakened girl in pijama.
I’ts 2:10 AM here in Spain, but I’m motivated enough to go running right now. Anyway… I’m not doing it.
I’ve finished my my stuff, 3000 meter swimming done, bike ride done. But I’m still needing to jump, shout and break things; so I’m going to do some strenght training and an extra push-up’s challenge WOD. Hyperactivity FTW!!!
I should be crawling on the floor by a dangerous lack of energy. The same with MyFitnessPal. So why I’m on fire after a fast run and a crazy core workout? Am I an alien or what? Maybe that kind of pages just aren’t done for me :S Any ideas?
Do you know that thing when you wear your running outfit, tie your sneaker laces, prepare your Ipod/phone tracklist... And suddenly you begin to feel like a motor starting and roaring inside? Well... Brrouuumm, broouuuuuuummmmm!!!!
i just read through your entire blog. Great job with the weight loss and i loved reading your posts. I would definitely like to run in a 5k one day once i lose more weight and become more fit.
Thank you buddy! It’s fullfilling to wake up and read that someone gets inspired by me. I absolutely recommend you to try the 5K, the runners high, the number in black&white on your belly, the jungle pack running together, the finish euphoria… And do you know what I think after reading some pages of your blog? You are doing by the best way to get fit, and if you try, you’d be able to run a 5k before September for SURE!
The best part of losing weight the healthy way is knowing that even if you have bad days and mess up you always have tomorrow. There's no stress or guilt that you have messed up your whole diet and have to start over, because every day is a new start!
And I didn’t notice! I just met my cousin Jose Manuel to have some long distance run, less than 2 hours.
(Sorry about the distortion but my Iphone can’t take full motion pictures at all :( )
We had a really good time, whistling, playing air guitar, jumping like frogs, running like forest gump with his ortopedic irons… but mainly running in a good pace. Finally we arrived home after 1:55:32. Drank nearly 4L of water aaaand
I devoured one of INfamous @maciee ‘s Spinach&Turkey Wrap.
It’s now that I’ve measured the distance we ran with google maps calculator, and it was 22KM!!!!! OMFG!!! I RAN A HALF MARATHON! IN 1:55!!
So now my calves burn like hell, my knees don’t want to talk to me, but is fine, I’m quite proud of myself. :D
Seriously, I know us guys don’t tend to talk about our struggles, feelings and the such, but I thought there’d be more male fit/weight loss blogs than this. I’ve seen about 5 men surrounded by around 300 women blogging in these last few weeks. I have no problem with female fit blogs but I’d like…
We are a few, but here we are, and now you have another fitblr friend.
Today I jumped again into the scale, and she smiled to me!
Starting Weight (1/2/2011): 253.53 pounds. Last Weigh In (15/6/2011): 192.90 pounds. Today’s weigh In (8/7/2011): 185.40 pounds.
Last 3 weeks progress: 7.5 pounds. Overall progress: 68.13 pounds.
I guess soon will be the time to stop losing, since my BMI goal weight is about 176.37 pounds. But now that I’ve begun living healthy, now that I’ve known such amazing people like you, “the adventure has only just started!!!”.
